Job description

The Business Development Specialist is responsible for identifying and analyzing opportunities for capturing the potential in existing and new markets. Other responsibilities include implementing projects, from start to finish.

Your tasks will include:

  • Coordinating and co-creating expansion plans for existing and penetration plans for new markets and updating existing expansion plans and market penetration plans.
  • Compiling the relevant implementation material, aligning the implementation plans and providing follow up and status reports.
  • Manage and secure the transfer of knowledge within the organization as well as to relevant functions within the commercial team and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Share knowledge with colleagues to support their competence development.
  • Clarify and secure the necessary prerequisites, including correct budget and business plan input, in co-operation with the respective functions.
  • Perform Gap/risk analyses and initiate the necessary risk mitigation activities in preparation for implementation.
  • Constantly monitor performance against agreed budget and goals of current projects, inform the correct stakeholders and act accordingly.
  • Maintain relations with internal and external parties involved in project.


  • Significant experience, at least 5 years of working in projects or business development
  • At least BS degree in business administration, economics or related field
  • Integrity and the ability to establish strong work relationships
  • Good analytical skills and cost consciousness
  • Excellent project management, organizational and co-ordination skills
  • Competent in problem solving
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent command of English spoken and written at business level
