Plan, communicate and Implement detailed action plans with focus on operational breakdown and actions. For such, a continuous dialogue with IFB managers in stores is needed to ensure understanding actions needed and commitments.
Pro-actively follow up and monitor operations’ set goals and targets, act on deviations in order to reach the planned operational excellence and increase operational efficiency.
Support, visit, share best practices and work closely with the stores to help reach operational excellence.
Support and coach the stores in functional questions as needed and ensure that the IKEA FOOD concept, manuals and current guidelines are known and well communicated.
With coordination with IFB Director and other stakeholders, responsible to ensure regular audits and functional reviews are communicated and executed in a clear transparent environment and methods.
Support the Cost control, forecasting and purchasing process related to IFB operations and equipments.
Provide on the floor coaching and training where needed to improve the operational routines and standards.
Give input and feedback to Expansion Specialist so IKEA FOOD operations are designed for top efficiency and functionality.
Coordinate the maintenance network for IKEA FOOD equipments in co-operation with the Expansion Specialist.
Food Safety and Hygiene
Coordinate the area of food safety in our markets with all internal and external stakeholders.
Responsible for IKEA FOOD compliance with all legal requirements, IKEA policies for food safety, HACC and, labeling.
Develop and manage the HACCP system within our markets.
Ensure that IKEA Food Safety programs are implemented and followed in cooperation with the stores.
Make random and unannounced food safety checks in the stores.
Ensure that all IKEA FOOD co-workers are participating in IKEA Food Safety food safety training initiatives.
Lead by example/coach the IKEA FOOD Managers and to follow up on food safety in daily work.
Initiate and develop Food Safety Training and development programs based upon the needs.
Support and advise IKEA FOOD Range & Commercial manager on Quality and Environment related issues.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in operations and safety on a managerial level in a multinational environment.
In-depth knowledge of food quality in general and food safety in particular.
Basic knowledge of laws and standards regarding ingredients, labeling and supplier certifications.
Proven record of planning/implementing audits, analyzing results and creating action plans to develop.
Proven record of working with and developing operational work routines in food.
Solid knowledge of stock and cost control, forecasting and purchasing process and implementation.
Knowledge of labor forecasting, labor health and safety requirements from legal and public health perspectives.
Ability to communicate confidently and clearly in English and Arabic.
Computer literate ( Knowledge of project management tools is a plus)
Self-reliant and motivated with a proven ability to work as part of a team as well as independently.
Customer-focused mindset and practical hands-on approach to work.
