Job description

IKEA Industry is the IKEA in-house furniture production with the role to deliver outstanding customer value by developing production capacities where we create a unique advantage.

To get breakthrough in performance and develop capabilities for the future, we have set challenging goals with our improvement program “Next Gear” that define what we need to deliver to strengthen our unique contribution to the IKEA retail business. 

Main Responsibilities:

  • Implementation of new products
  • Development of product calculation
  • Development and improvement of new products technological processes
  • Research and implementation of new technology
  • Assessment, optimization and improvement of current technology
  • Implementation of machinery investments projects
  • Active participation in Budget forming and business strategies
  • Responsibility for certification, declaration and metrology
  • Overall responsibility for internal technical documentation and preparation
  • Knowledge sharing and benchmarking with other production units and central support function
  • Reduction of direct material consumption

You will be located in Krasnaya Polyana, Kirov region, Russia


Qualification

To be successful in this role you need to have several years of work experience in the technologies of woodworking production. University degree in woodworking technologies or similar is an advantage. Experience in wood-based business is beneficial.  Furthermore, you need to have a customer focus and the ability to create the customer focus among the co-workers.

You need to have a leadership style according to the IKEA leadership capabilities and Values. You must be ambitious, positive, and flexible and be able to stand stress. You have to be used to working on a high pace and have the conscious mind set to be able to find cost-efficient solutions throughout the value chain. It is an advantage if you have worked with similar tasks before and beneficial if you also have experience in working according to LEAN principles, in order to understand the customer´s need. You have to be a good communicator and express yourself well both verbally and in writing. You are fluent in English and Russian.
