WHO YOU ARE

Hej, My name is Katarzyna Piwowarczyk, and I am looking for a new member of our Marketing team at IKEA. Currently I am looking for someone who will take the position of Country Marketing Performance Leader. This person will help me and Marketing team members to understand better what is going on in our retail & digital reality, how performance relates to brand & business results and what new opportunities there may be for us. I need somebody who is extremely good with numbers & analytics, super proficient in drawing conclusions and synthesizing, but most of all – somebody who understands business, especially retail. We have plenty of data (including a goldmine of IKEA Family data!), researches (both consumer and econometrics) & metrics… so we need someone who will help us do an even better job at making use of it all. A few years (let’s say: 5-10) of experience in a relevant area is a must. We are not just marketing; we are a Commercial team as well. Depending on how proactive you’ll be, more opportunities may come, both on the local and global level. Please read the detailed description of position below. Come see things a little differently with us. For this role we believe you have 5-10 years of experience in planning, driving output and measuring marketing performance (business). In addition, you have experience in defining marketing KPIs aligned with strategic objectives as well as experience from retail, preferably home furnishing sector. You have deep knowledge of data analysis as well as of techniques for following up and measuring activity efficiency and effectiveness using relevant tools and technology as well as of current marketing trends, developments, and performance metrics. Moreover, you have broad knowledge of marketing technology as well as of the retail multichannel reality and online customer behaviours. Finally, you possess good knowledge of change management methods and tools as well as stakeholder management. You have good leadership capabilities including ability to lead peers and stakeholders. Furthermore, you have strong analytical, strategic and problem-solving skills with the ability to make decisions with speed and simplicity combined with ability to apply an analytical and problem-solving mindset to identify trends and solve complex problems. Finally, you have ability to take a holistic view of a global organisation and identify business opportunities accordingly as well as ability to follow up and measure performance of output and capture learnings to improve planning and performance moving forward.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Act as a member of the Marketing Management team and proactively contribute to marketing plan/output in order to deliver to the common objectives and goals • Be responsible for defining the Marketing Performance Framework (including KPIs and measurements) • Be responsible for driving a significant improvement of the ROI of Marketing activities to contribute to the Marketing function’s extraordinary result • Identify recommendations and influence key stakeholders to ensure that goals are consistently met • Lead the overall performance analysis of paid, owned and earned media to drive ROI • Collaborate in the execution of global post activity implementation reviews, sharing key findings with stakeholders to improve the quality of global content and media development • Contribute with identifying growth opportunities and together with Customer Engagement Team Leader, Integrated Media Team Leader and Marketing Communications Team Leader give input to hubs to meet common goals • Lead the marketing plan process, ensuring objectives are based on a clear understanding of our current performance and ROI • Actively cooperate with all key stakeholders within commercial and beyond to secure integration, common focus and maximize impact • Contribute to the integrated multichannel executions/output of the function in order to contribute to the business goals • Measure performance of output in own areas to maximize efficiency and effectiveness, and ensure performance excellence throughout the year • Be an active player in driving an open and sharing climate, be a role model of the IKEA values, and contribute to the transformation of IKEA In this role you will report to the Country Marketing Manager (https://www.linkedin.com/in/katarzyna-piwowarczyk-80152b/). In the role as Country Marketing Performance Leader, you are responsible for leading the Marketing Performance framework, defining the KPIs & measurement, optimising the ROI and influencing the business to act on recommendations.
