The role of the supply process is to buy, produce and distribute the IKEA range at the lowest total cost, making high quality available to the customer under good social and environmental conditions. Purchasing and Logistics Area South East Europe and Pakistan (PLASEEP) is one of total eight Purchasing Operations Areas within IKEA, and our co-workers are based in Istanbul, Bucharest, Belgrade and Karachi.
We are currently looking for Supply Planner in the fantastic team in material categories Metal and Glass, based in Istanbul.
A Supply Planner is the link between IKEA and its suppliers on all operational and logistics topics. The Supply Planner ensures that the agreed business setups are followed, updated and improved to secure the highest level of product availability for IKEA's customers with the lowest total Supply Chain cost. A Supply Planner works in a material-oriented team, in close co-operation with the Business Developer and the Production Engineer.
Your assignment is:
Ensure agreed service level by monitoring and taking required action on delivery performance
Work with information visibility by assuring that systems are updated with correct parameters
Communicate update requests to responsible functions within the Supply Chain including IKEA suppliers
Work closely with IKEA suppliers to provide them with relevant information, training, working methods and support their development
Follow-up, analyse and take actions to continuously improve supplier performance
Take the leadership in the business development team to ensure supplier has goods ready in time and in full in order to fulfil customers’ need at lowest possible landed cost.
Developing logistics performance
Develops and maintains suppliers’ logistics competence towards becoming responsible on their own performance through: working closely with suppliers, running Supplier Development Projects and providing them relevant trainings & working methods.

Experience in Supply Chain
Knowledge in Capacity Planning
University degree or equivalent knowledge from working experience

Comfortable to work in routine environment not losing the curiosity to find improvements in the logistics agenda, enjoy working for new solutions and seeking improvement for existing ones.
