Purchasing & Logistics Area, South East Asia is currently looking for:
Supply Planner, Metal & Plastic and Foil on Board Team
We are looking for the people with knowledge of supplier management, metal industry, production flow, capacity planning. You have the ability to take the leadership to ensure suppliers have goods ready in time in order to fulfil customers’ need at lowest possible landed cost. You are able to translate the Category Plan into logistics solutions and always keep Total IKEA and Total Cost Development in mind.
About the assignment
You will work closely with supplier partners to secure operational capacities and find the solutions to address the deviation proactively together with partners and internal Need Planner.
You will capture and update correct business set-up information in all relevant systems and proactively detect and act on possible deviations from the goal.
You will prepare suppliers for best replenishment and delivery solutions by continuously developing supplier delivery performance.
You will identify, implement and maintain the best logistical offer, by having customer and total cost in mind.
You will actively contribute in the planning and execution of the best set-up for range changes at supplier, considering constraint periods and activities.
You will continuously review, analyse, follow-up and take action to improve supplier delivery performance and ensure goods are shipped on time from suppliers.
You will develop and maintain suppliers’ logistic competence towards becoming responsible for their own performance through working closely with suppliers, running Supplier Development Projects and providing them relevant training & working methods.
You will lead the supplier development from the logistic perspective and engage relevant competence in IKEA and at supplier to assess supplier logistics capability and running supplier development projects.
You have logistic and supply chain knowledge from university and/or working experience
You have strong knowledge of production planning, capacity planning, supplier management, and purchasing
You have good understanding about the supply chain cost drivers from raw material to customer
You have strong knowledge of INCOTERMS and logistic parameters in Purchasing Agreement
You speak fluent in English
You are proactive, analytical and solution oriented mind
You are capable of dealing with multiple tasks under time pressure
You have strong communication and ability to work through others
You share the IKEA values, culture and have a strong interest to work for a home furnishings company
