About the assignment
To build a professional and long term relationship with suppliers by challenging and negotiate through the IKEA way of doing business.
To have an overall responsible for supplier performance and within that develop and implement action plans together with suppliers.
To translate Category Business Plan and lead suppliers into solutions for Total Lower Cost at our products.
To work with suppliers and continuously increase the competitiveness and on an everyday base work to lower the costs of IKEA products.
To secure compliance in IKEA way of working (IWAY).
To be professionally challenge suppliers to constantly improve all aspects of supplier performance according to supplier action plan
To Lead Supplier Development Process (SDP) identification process to create and implement action plans together with suppliers which delivers to Category Plan
To pro-actively work together with HFBs to integrate opportunities and act on deviations to Sourcing Assignment
To lead the business agenda by involving & engaging competence needed such as logistics, quality, manufacturing, sustainability, etc.
To secure compliance to IKEA Purchasing Manual and other agreed working methods
To identify and start-up new suppliers according to business needs
To be an IKEA ambassador of IKEA values and do business with Fact-based Business Leadership
You have deep knowledge of industry and market specific conditions and macro economy trends.
You have deep knowledge of supplier capabilities and material, service and production.
You have deep knowledge of Supplier Development Process, Purchase Development Process and Development Product Offer Process.
You have ability to lead business with a holistic view, always act with customer, supplier, total IKEA and total cost development in mind.
You have capability to deliver result through involving and engaging peoples
You have capability to identify and capture business opportunities and deliver results.
You have capability to perform business analysis, risk assessment, scenario planning and draw conclusions to support the right business decisions and implementations.
You have capability to build trust and relationship in order to build long term business partnership.
You have good finance/legal knowledge
