We are on a Digital transformation journey at the iconic IKEA. To support the digital transformation, operations and monitoring data is core in ensuring transparency and availability of our solutions used by our customers we provide several Observability offerings to the wider organization. We are now in need for a passionate and innovative engineer who loves working in an agile environment. You will get the opportunity to enable our offerings across the organization.

Building up the enablement is very important to Operational Intelligence unit as is we should promote and support the usage of different offerings available within the unit. We also support every engineering and product teams to monitor, observe their operational data and make sure they get the best performance out of their application.


REQUIREMENTS

We believe you are a passionate engineer with 5+ years of experience in systems and/or software engineering with proficiency in Observability and monitoring.
You understand the importance of Observability and why it is important for every application to observe the performance of their application. You have the technical experience of handling several monitoring, Observability and performance monitoring toolsets. You have prior experience with Splunk and other application performance monitoring
Operational and consulting experience with Splunk is a must. Experience with event management products and cloud management at scale is beneficial. Experience and knowledge with Application performance monitoring is a plus.
Work experience / hands-on skills in the following areas will be an advantage:
· Splunk Solution Architectural Design
· Deploying/Supporting Splunk Hybrid infrastructure
· Hands-on & practical experience of log aggregation related to Cloud Platforms, containerized (Docker, Kubernetes) deployments and CI/CD pipelines
· Knowledge of automation technologies such as Ansible or similar.
· Strong communication, collaboration and influencing skills.
· Comfort in being “front of Room” with all levels
· A strong ability to both one-on-one coach and front end meetings where necessary.
· Demonstrate strength in working collaboratively with and across a variety of global cross functional teams.
· Experience working with enablement communications.
· Knowledge of writing and visualize best practices
· Understanding of SLO/SLI is an added advantage.
· Demonstrate strength in working collaboratively with and across a variety of global cross functional teams

Nice to have:

· Experience of OpenTelemetry and instrumentation of telemetry is a plus

Our OI (operational Intelligence) unit is a distributed engineering team delivering technology excellence through our Observability platform to the many co worker

When you join us, you will be part of the enablement team working with a mission of being the Operational Intelligence interface towards our consumers by fully understand their expectations and desires and to empower, consult and support them in how to work with monitoring and gain observability.

TOGETHER AS A TEAM


We are building up a new enablement team who will work closely with other teams within the Operational Intelligence Unit.. This is going to be a new team consisting of consultants and co workers working closely with Splunk and Performance monitoring teams. We will be quite autonomous, self-organizing and self-sufficient in many ways, which means part of our daily work is to define how we get things done together.

We are passionate about building easy to consume capabilities supporting the need to high quality data insight in the operational process at IKEA. Giving business and operations team support and insight into availability and performance of critical business applications and infrastructure enables successful delivery of service to our customers.
