You will become part of the Database and Application services Management team and be a key player in contributing to the technology evolvement of the area. We are on an exciting journey, Developing and enabling new technology services through full focus on automation and self-service capabilities for efficiency, availability and usability.

To succeed as Senior Systems Engineer you have:

-Deep knowledge of the technology domain(s) and its architectual concepts

-extensive knowledge and experience in Development of self service capabilities for Databases & Application Hosting

- Deep knowlwdge and experience of infrastructure architecture in the domain

-excellent communication and coaching skills and an ability to make data driven decisions

-Strong knowledge of operations engineering practices using industry standard toolsets

-Deep knowledge of working in agile/iterative environments with agile practices

-Good understanding of the cost drivers and effective leveraging the commercial consequences of technical decisions

- Good knowledge in how to develop and optimize the area

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Senior Systems Engineer you will be responsible for designing and delivering high quality digital capabilities and services to support consumers across Ingka and Inter-IKEA Systems to be more efficient and reach the many people.

Among many tasks you will:

-Design, develop and deliver technology services through automation and self-service capabilities for efficiency, availability and usability

-Design and educate in ways of working for stakeholders encouraging good practices to meet consumer expectations on Service delivery

-Be the glue between Enterprise Architecture and the service area making sure that technology strategies align.

- Together with your peers in the Management team create and drive the technology roadmap for the service area.

-Ensure and review systems compliance towards legislations, policies or other requirements in order to stay compliant.

-Take the lead in change activities in different environments in order to secure adaptation, functionality and availability, coaching stakeholders through the process.

-Take responsibility for cooperation and align key stakeholders within Ingka and Inter-IKEA Systems with interdependencies towards Group Digital to develop Product/Service design and technical roadmaps.

-Lead in promoting and advocating good engineering practices within an agile/iterative development approach in order to improve time to market.

-Onboard, coach and mentor engineers in order to secure transfer of competence and enable a high performing team

-Ensure that Products and Services are built according to best practices by continually learning from and benchmarking against industry standards to continuously validate and improve deliverables


In this role as Senior System Engineer you will report to Service Manager Database ad Application Services. Your office location will be in southern part of Sweden (Helsingborg or Älmhult).
