Our first IKEA store in Korea opened on 18th Dec 2014 and has already attracted millions of happy customers. And we have an exciting expansion plan in front of us! We are still in the beginning of establishing IKEA in Korea, many things still need to be shaped and developed to create a loved brand – a glorious future!

About the job (your work & tasks):
In your role, you will mmaintain, oversee and secure the usage and quality of a specific set of customer data on an operational level. You will promote and support the right way of usage of information within the organisation. You will secure accurate, be trusted and relevant information through the applicable part of the IKEA value chain bringing added value for customers, co-workers and suppliers.

In your new role, you will:

  • Operating the end to end delivery of requests related to Customer Information Management (e.g. clarification of ownership and data sources; investigation, analyze, coordinate)
  • Handle internal and external requests for search, update and deletion of customer information.
  • Provide support in business and root cause analysis related to customer information.
  • Secure that customer information is available in line with the needs from all stakeholders in the value chain.
  • Establish consistent data quality acceptance criteria and business rules for validation.
  • Ensure compliance to legal rules and IKEA policies and standards.
  • Identify potential new customer data quality issues, e.g. by analyzing the results of data profiling and monitoring.
  • Measuring the performance of KPIs and report on result.
  • Support in creation and execution of the Customer Information Management plan in the retail unit.
  • Escalating customer information related risks as appropriate.
  • Support and educate in information governance matters and global directives.
  • Support SVoC (Single View of Customer) project.


It is essentials that:

  • An understanding of the key data items within the scope of customer information governance and what role it plays in the business processes.
  • Knowledge of the local and global requirements of the information policies, rules and guidelines.
  • Knowledge and good insight of existing quality issues and weaknesses within the information domain.
  • In depth understanding of the impact of insufficient data quality based on a solid business knowledge.
  • Good understanding of data profiling methods and tools.
  • Attention to details, with strong analytical and numerical skills.
  • Enthusiastic about the idea of good data quality and how it can support seamless ways of working for IKEA customers and co-workers and suppliers
