You understand how to create, implement and follow up on rules and practices that ensure accountability, compliance, fairness and transparency within IKEA. You know the IKEA corporate identity, core values and vision of creating a better everyday life for the many people, to ensure right representation. You have ability to accomplish goals, completes tasks, and achieves results. You know how to develop virtual and other collaborative relationships to facilitate current and future objectives. You know how to take action without needing direction from others – ability to work independently, take own initiatives and responsibility but also a team-player. You know how to work independently, take own initiatives and responsibility. You express ideas and opinions effectively - with ability to influence and inspire. For this role we believe you need to have proven record of developing people and organisations, minimum 5 years of experience in Human Resources, minimum 2 years of experience in Co-worker Relations experience from a global matrix organisation and/or participating on global projects.


In the role as Co-worker Relations Manager, you are responsible for leading the overall country co-worker relations strategy and following up together with the organisation upholding our global Co-worker relations principles and code of conduct. You will secure the conditions for an engaging and healthy working environment where co-workers develop and perform. You will be a strong contributor to the country People & Culture management team and partner with unit People & Culture Managers You will: • Ensure the relevant global people policies and standards are fully supported by the management team, implemented across the country and lived up to (e.g. Code of Conduct, co-worker relations principles, diversity and inclusion) • Establish and foster an ongoing open dialogue with co-workers, their associations and other organisations, contributing to successful negotiations with worker’s council/labour union. • Lead the development of country HR policies and procedures in line with employment law compliance and secure implementation and follow up • Lead and develop co-worker engagement plans and activities in line with IKEA’s diversity and inclusion strategy and IKEA’s culture and value frame. • Contribute expertise to leadership development in relation to co-worker relations, behaviours and trust throughout the organisation. • Lead the I Share process on country level. • Lead and develop the problem resolution process on country level, securing consistent execution and follow-up, and secure analysis of root causes. • Protect IKEA as an employer from potential threats by implementing and following a common way of managing labour issues on country level. • Identify, evaluate and monitor actual and potential labour issues evolving internally or externally that could create significant risks for IKEA. • Lead and follow up on IKEA’s employment standards and compliance in all units • Lead and develop the health and wellbeing framework In this role you will report to the Country Co-worker Experience Manager.
