Our first IKEA store in Korea opened in December 2014 successfully and our second store in October 2017. We strongly believe that a happier life starts at home and we have an exciting expansion plan in front of us. We are still in the beginning of establishing IKEA in Korea, developing the brand and building a strong long term positioning.
Our plan is to open our third store in late of 2019 and we are very much looking forward to establishing a multichannel business for the many people!
Store #3 will be located in Giheung, YongIn city, Seoul metropolitan area.

About the job (your work & tasks):In your role as Store Opening Event Support, you will be a strong contributor to the store opening support team. Implement the set activities and events for the opening campaigns aligned with the country marketing strategy for the openings. This role contributes to a successful opening of the new stores supporting the Store opening project leader and the store opening support team. This role will also be responsible to administer and run the activities under the leadership of the Store opening project leader.
This is temporary assignment for 1 yearsupporting new store opening campaign, you may expect some additional tasks related to the general Marketing or Sales department scope – and within the planned lean IKEA organization, a high level of flexibility, cooperation and mutual support will be required.
More information about your tasks
Work together with the Store opening project leader and the store opening support team to implement and execute the opening campaign activities.
Be responsible for the product pickup, transport, assembly, implementation of the home furnishing solutions on site and demolition of the activity site.
Plan and execute the communication to the visitors on site
Be responsible for administration of ordering of goods (food, gifts etc), filling up the stock for the event site
Coordinate with the different functions like com&in, sales, CFF, HR, food, etc for the execution of the opening activities
Administration and execution of the daily events in the popup, moving truck etc.
Be active during the events and interact with the visitors
Be an excellent ambassador for IKEA on the activity sites
Support the various activities on site, eg HR activities, internal activities, press activities etc.
Support the store opening project leader to lead the agencies involved in the implementations of the activities
Responsible for the maintenance of activity during operation hours.
Ensure quality in implementations
Support with development of the detailed content for opening events
Ensures that all activities keep a strong IKEA identity and tone of voice

Good communication and collaboration skills working with internal and external partners.
Working knowledge of developing marketing communication campaigns.
Retail and/or home furnishing experience.
