Local IT Technician
IKEA KOREA, Giheung Store
Our first IKEA store in Korea opened in December 2014 successfully and our second store in October 2017. We strongly believe that a happier life starts at home and we have an exciting expansion plan in front of us. We are still in the beginning of establishing IKEA in Korea, developing the brand and building a strong long term positioning.

Our plan is to open our third store IKEA Giheung in late of2019 and we are very much looking forward to establish a multichannel business for the many people!

About the job (your work & tasks):
To provide professional onsite and remote IT support with a high service level to different IKEA units. Be part of the country IT team with responsibility for specific units, including supporting other units and projects within the country when required. Secure the support for a number of IKEA IT systems (local solutions) and ensure that knowledge is kept professionally up-to-date about advances in technology. Be part of a global organization with global routines and guidelines along with ensuring tools are used correctly within each business unit.

  • Performandmanageplannedactivities,suchas ITinstallations,upgrades, local rebuildsandmaintenanceactivities.
  • Analyse,resolveanddocumentonsitesupportcasesin close co-operationwiththeServiceDesk in an efficient andprofessionalmanner.
  • Performall daily tasksaccordingto set procedures,rulesandguidelines.
  • Providetechnicaltrainingtoendusers.
  • Actas an ambassador forIKEAIT in thecountry.
  • Maintainandensurecontinuousuptimeof theonsiteITinfrastructure.
  • Participateas a resource in projects.
  • Takenecessarydecisionsandactionsto solveissues, as well as prioritiseissuesaccording to businessneeds,andknowwhenandhow to escalate an issue in thesupportchain.
  • Respondto ITemergencysituations in thecountry.
  • Manage and coordinate external suppliers.
  • Contributetothelocal organisation'sITbudget process whenrequired.

It is essentials that you have:
  • Service minded outlook
  • Self-reliantandmotivatedwitha proven ability to work as part of a team as well as independently.
  • Creative approach to solving problems
  • Abilityto communicateconfidentlyand clearly both in Korean & English.
  • An interest in Home furnishing
  • Retail Experience (preferred)
  • Experienceof working within IT (preferred).

Primary locationwillbeGiheung Store and you will be requiredtosupport other business units on a regular basis.
