Job description


[ESSENTIAL FOR PARTICULAR JOB ] -Self-reliant with a proven ability to work as part of a team as well as independently -Understanding of essential IKEA steering documents and working methods relating to Risk & Compliance -Understanding of local/national laws and regulation -Understanding of customer expectations -Ability to explain rules and guidelines to others -Confident in approaching and talking to people in a proactive manner. -Excellent attention to detail. -Ability to prioritise and organise own work in line with job responsibilities and agreed priorities Mandatory external licences and trainings: Security Centre Operation , Fire Response, Senior Life Saving or First Aid spreader [GOOD TO HAVE] -Strong role model for the IKEA values and an ambassador for the IKEA Brand -Knowledge on how to train and educate large groups -Experience of working with Safety & Security and/or Compliance in an IKEA store or IKEA Distribution -Ability to ensure integrity of Safety & Security systems, guidelines and documents


・“Walk the store” every shift to - actively communicate with store coworkers in all departments to hear their questions, concerns and to share knowledge to improve risk awareness and compliance levels, and to improve and protect the IKEA Brand position - ensure an everyday safe and secure environment for coworkers and customers and other stakeholders in all areas of the store interior and exterior - ensure compliance with internal guidelines and working methods to support an enjoyable, convenient and successful shopping and buying experience throughout the whole store - ensure compliance with “store in shape as new” in all areas of the store interior and exterior ・Give clear direction to coworkers and suppliers to take immediate action to solve urgent issues and to follow-up that actions has been completed, and file a written report of the event ・Respond to incidents and accidents and cooperate with the store Duty Manager to co-ordinate with the store's Emergency Response Team, Fire Response Team and management for the handling of any serious emergency cases ・Ensuring that all safety and security equipment and systems are fully functional at all times to meet IKEA standards and national/local legal requirements. ・Conducting trainings, audits, inspections and follow up. ・Communicate with external stakeholders relating to safety, security and compliance ・Assist with Loss Prevention and detection of offenders. ・Timely escalation and reporting of incidents and accidents. This task includes recording of incidents into IRS - Incident Reporting System. ・Other administrative duties, including applications, authorizations and signing permits, maintaining and filing records and safety and security. ・Security office duty


[Purpose of the job] To protect IKEA co-workers, customers, visitors and assets from preventable loss, injury or illness, and contribute to the positive working and shopping experience for all. Establish a risk aware culture in the Unit, by proactively assessing and managing risks together with the functions and the risk owners, and by creating understanding about IKEA’s intended level of Safety & Security. Ensure compliance with the IKEA Group Risk Manual, IKEA rules and guidelines, and national and local legal requirements.
