About the job
As the store Visual Merchandise/Activity Manager you share your extensive knowledge of people’s life at home and high level of home furnishing competence with your team. Together you present and communicate the IKEA offer in ways that make it attractive, relevant and surprising to your local market. You also support customer self-choice in the IKEA store and the IKEA mechanical sales system. This is a challenging role in a fast-moving retail environment.

About the assignment

  • Securing the use of the store layout as a commercial tool to plan and implement commercial strategies throughout the store while creating a good overview and strong visual impact in different store media and activity areas to distance us from the competition and achieve our goals.
  • Having a deep passion, curiosity and understanding for trends, home furnishing and people’s everyday life at home and challenging your team and yourself in order to strengthen the IKEA Brand and at the same time exceed the expectations of customers.
  • Working with vitality to motivate people to visit the IKEA store more frequently.
  • Recruiting, developing and leading your team by encouraging open, constructive, and honest two-way feedback; individual and team development and securing succession plan.
  • Continually seeking new opportunities to make improvements in the way we work and encouraging your team to do the same.
