ABOUT THE JOB

Maintain the flow of carts/baby strollers throughout the store to ensure maximum availability to the customer and assisting customers with inquires and their product all while strengthen IKEA’s position as the best home furnishing store

YOUR ASSIGNMENT
  • Ensure a positive shopping experience by greeting customers, being visible, friendly and knowledgeable about the store.
  • Efficiently assist customers in loading and unloading merchandise to and from their vehicles
  • Ensure that carts are available inside the store at all pick up locations
  • Maintain the loading zone area, ensuring the timely removal of packaging & garbage and retrieval of all carts on the loading zone/parking lot
  • Thank the customer, offer a friendly closing and invite them back
  • Maintain a balanced cart flow throughout the store/home delivery areas
  • Disassemble AS IS merchandise when required
  • Assist customers with bringing merchandise to be returned
  • Report inoperable equipment to managers
  • Maintain outside area, ensuring it is fully stocked with twine, etc.
  • Work closely with the furniture pick up and warehouse staff to ensure the integrity of merchandise pulls
  • Use available resources to educate yourself on product features and customer interaction skills
  • Contribute to an environment where the IKEA Culture is a strong and living reality that embraces the diversity of coworkers and customers
  • Assume responsibility for other tasks and projects as they occur

YOUR PROFILE

  • Interest in home furnishings
  • Computer aptitude
  • Ability to lift 100 lbs. (50 kg) and push server carts at once
  • Available to work Friday evenings and all day Saturday and Sunday
