Purchasing & Logistics Area North (PLAN) is one of 8 Purchasing & Logistics Areas in the world, and our co-workers are based in Älmhult, Dortmund and Kaunas. PLAN consists of several functions, such as Purchasing Development, Transport, Customs Service Centre, Quality Support Centre and Warehousing Logistics.

The role of the Human Resource Department is to establish IKEA as a great place to work by attracting people who live our values, who are experts in life at home and who care about customers. Our assignment is also to support the business in ensuring development for all co-workers, inspiring them to perform and grow with IKEA. This we do by working in partnership with the business staff functions and actively contributing to the growth of business through people. We also secure that the appropriate HR processes and compliance are implemented.

About the assignment

As a HR Specialist you are expected to provide HR expertise and ensure that the local HR processes are implemented in the most effective and efficient way. You will be in contact with various stakeholders on a daily basis.

Your main responsibilities will be to:

  • Secure a well-functioning and compliant HR administration for PLAN Dortmund.

  • Ensure HR-related compliance with relevant internal and external regulations. Take actions in case of deviations or improvement potentials.

  • As a functional expert, provide solutions and execution in one or more of the following HR fields: HR systems and database, payroll, compensation and benefits, hiring/exit processes and relocation, personnel administration, internal and external audit.

  • Support the establishment of relevant company guidelines and working methods as well as to help enforcing and implementing them.

  • Work in close collaboration with internal and external service providers.

  • Coordinate and administrate various tasks in areas such as payroll, employment contracts and introduction of new co-workers.

  • Be the local HR speaking partner for the areas of HR administration and HR systems.


Qualification

About you

As a person you need to be passionate about people and motivated to secure good HR compliance. We believe that you have a lot of energy, a strong drive and high commitment. You are self-reliant and motivated with the ability to work as part of a team as well as independently. You have the ability to establish trustful relationships

Furthermore, you have good administrative, communication and documentation skills and are ambitious to learn and develop within IKEA. You enjoy working in a diverse and changing environment. Last but not least you are passionate about the IKEA culture and values and the IKEA Brand.

To be successful in this role you need to have:

  • Relevant experience and/or education in Human Resources or equivalent

  • Experience with various HR systems/processes and labour law regulations

  • Ability to communicate confidently and clearly in German and English, both verbally and in writing

  • Good knowledge in Microsoft office
