We are currently looking for an enthusiastic Scrum Master to work in our Digital & IT Team. In the role you will focus on coaching the Development Team and the Platform/Product Owner(s) but also act as a common project leader in a digital transformation environment where Agile is the lead star. 

About the job

The IT Delivery teams at IKEA Franchise provide IT operations and user support for digital platforms and foundations in a shared IT totality across the IKEA value chain. Together, we create and deliver towards a common roadmap driven by business needs and technology opportunities. As Scrum Master you will coach the Development Team and the Product Owner to supporting the team(s) with as many benefits of Scrum as possible.

As Scrum Master you are responsible for ensuring the team lives Agile values and principles. You ensure a good relationship between the team and Product Owner across the IKEA business as well as others outside IKEA. In this position you will contribute to the delivery of the Inter IKEA cross functional IT infrastructure landscape. You’ll do this by coaching the team members in self-management and cross-functionality. You will help the Scrum Team focus on creating high-value Increments that meet the definition of done, and  secure the removal of impediments to the Scrum Team’s progress. You will also ensure that all Scrum events take place and are positive, productive, and kept within the time box.

You are passionate and curious about the assignment of IKEA Franchise, and see how Digital and Information Technology can enable our way forward to create a unique and successful meeting with the customer. You are a down-to-earth team player who is eager to take initiatives and achieve results that deliver to a longer term strategic as well as to the operational agenda. You are appreciated for your way with people and ability to build relationships through effective collaboration and delivery of results in Agile ways of working. You strive for constant renewal finding techniques for effective Product Goal definition and Product Backlog management.

You’ll bring solid experience and knowledge of traditional project management practices as well as Agile and are happy to work fluidly across both.

You’ll understand the challenges and possible pitfalls when it comes to transforming a huge organisation to new working methods, and be comfortable navigating ambiguity and keeping teams motivated.

You’ll have Outstanding communication, facilitation, negotiation, and coaching skills. 

You’ll have experience in and are a champion of the Agile framework and methods (i.e. Scrum, Kanban).  You also have in-depth knowledge of traditional project management principles and practices to understand the efforts to transform the organisation.

You’ll have  experience facilitating meetings at multiple levels in an organisation and are able to  ensure great communication at all times. You’ve got an understanding and have experience working across both digital and IT infrastructure challenges and assignments.

You’ll have an appetite to work in a changing environment, and want to be a part of the exciting journey that we are on at Inter Ikea Group.

You’ll bring a ‘can do’ attitude and will be happy to jump in and work on smaller projects as and when needed.

This position is full-time (40 hours per week) and is located in Delft, The Netherlands.
