About the job

The challenging position of Human Resources Generalist calls for a person who has passion and drive for the people agenda. It is about developing and growth of people. With the expertise of your colleagues you will help to secure the continued global success of the IKEA concept – a concept that serves millions of satisfied customers each day.

You do this by:

  • Ensuring the appropriate HR processes and tools are implemented
  • Actively contributing to the growth of business through people
  • Contribute to the development of managers and co-workers, providing HR expertise and ensuring that the HR strategies are locally put into practice in the most effective and efficient way
  • Understand business context, issues and challenges to provide specific advice and support to managers and co-workers
  • Being a role model for IKEA Culture & Values and by that secure legal, ethical and moral perspective in people management and leadership situations.

Qualification

About you:

You have great leadership skills and enjoy working with change management and effective communication. Most importantly you are able and willing to share your knowledge and experience with others utilizing mentoring and coaching techniques.

To be successful in this role you need to have/be:

  • At least 5-7 years of experience as an HR professional or an equivalent role
  • Proven 3+ years experience in HR advice to management
  • Ability to communicate confidently and clearly with various audiences in English and Dutch, both verbally and in writing. The Dutch is a must due to law and regulations.
  • Passionate about people and have a strong belief in individual’s potential
  • Be genuinely interested in and have a solid understanding of retail and the IKEA business dynamics.
