Inter IKEA Systems (IKEA Core Business Franchise) owns the IKEA Concept and is the worldwide IKEA franchisor. We are specifically responsible for the IKEA strategic framework, ensuring the IKEA Concept is updated, relevant, implemented and followed-up – together with all IKEA trademark users.

About the role
As Expansion Business Analyst you will support in the development and enhancement of methods, tools and processes for analysis and planning of market development at the lowest cost. You furthermore support IKEA franchisees worldwide to develop and execute market development plans. In this role you will analyse the full market potential, identify dependencies and perform risk assessments and mitigation plans for new and existing markets. You will work and deliver results in a collaborative way with other parts of the IKEA value chain to unleash potential. You are able to influence and work effectively with people at all levels of an organisation and in a team environment. You have many functional (international) stakeholders, which requires excellent indirect leadership skills and a strong personality.
Together with the Expansion Development Leader you build trustful relationships with all stakeholders connected to the markets within your domain. You work collaboratively across organisational, geographical and cultural boundaries. You will be given the opportunity to learn about IKEA from a holistic perspective while we provide you with a variety of rotating assignments that give you the opportunity to lead or collaborate on different assignments.
You are a critical thinker and easily work with data, facts and business potentials whilst always securing the foundation for fact based decision making. You are able to independently draw conclusions, identify dependencies and suggest different scenarios to solve problems. Your focus is mainly on the big picture and creating the right movements. You enjoy presenting your findings to others with enthusiasm and simplicity, in writing, face-to-face as well as digitally.
Your communication and facilitation skills allow you to quickly identify and select relevant information, narrowing it down to that which is essential. Your point of view is strong and grounded, but you are also an open-minded team-player. You are a self-starter who believes in the importance of pro-active communication. You love to deal with people from different cultures and from all levels of the organisation.
You thrive in a changing environment in which you are exposed to a lot of unknowns. You are curious and eager to learn new things and obtain new skills. It enthuses you to influence strategic and tactical decision making. Your contributions ultimately make the IKEA business of our franchisees more future proof and cost efficient.
What else are we looking for? You have a University Degree and minimum 2-3 years of working experience, preferably in a consulting role in which you exercised your advisory skills.
A few more details for you
This is a full time role (40 hours per week) based in Delft, the Netherlands and requires frequent travel (once Covid-19 restrictions are lifted). You report to the Expansion Business Analyst Manager within IKEA Expansion.
Tuesday 6 October 2020 is the closing date to apply for this role. It may also be good to know that the first round of interviews is taking place in week 42. A behavioural and cognitive evaluation are part of the recruitment process for this role. We will round off the recruitment process with a case interview.
