Marketing Communications Leader

WHO YOU ARE

We are looking for a Marketing Communications Leader, the day-to-day contact for delivering marketing communications activities. You will be a trusted lynchpin (both internally and amongst agencies) who will support the Marketing Communications Manager in creating an environment to deliver creative excellence for IKEA. We are looking for someone who will be the voice that people want in the room. Amongst co-workers, because you understand the IKEA business, marketing strategy, tone of voice and can bring a strategic point of view to the table. Amongst agencies, because you care about the work, can contribute to creative discussions and will help fight for the bigger ideas. You can demonstrate that you are able to make things happen, build up trust quickly and be a credible voice of authority. But most of all, we are looking for someone that we all want to work with.   Experience and Knowledge in the following: • Digital Marketing including 1:1 Marketing • Marketing Communication Strategy in Retail • Marketing Creative and production process • Marketing Technology • Media Strategy Essential Requirements: • Minimum of 6 years’ experience in marketing communication • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in leading, managing and influencing co-workers • Experience in managing integrated campaigns, across a range of media and marketing disciplines. • Experience from the retail sector and home furnishings sector

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

In the role as Country Marketing Communications Leader Cluster, you are responsible for leading Marketing Communication activities and creating marketing communication strategy and solutions that deliver business results aligned with brand identity and positioning. You are also responsible for leading marketing communications activities in hub, define the concept and secure consistency. You will: • Act as a member of the Marketing Management team and proactively contribute to marketing plan/output in order to deliver to the common objectives and goals • Plan and coordinate the ‘attract’ communication need for markets served by hub • Define ‘attract’ concept with support of associated hub markets • Secure the red thread of all marketing communication consistently across channels in the hub and the local market • Contribute to Marketing Communication strategy, planning, creating, and coordinating the brand and commercial communication content part of the Business Plan • Contribute to the integrated process for marketing communication development by proactively working with Communications team and Digital team, to secure one voice in the market, and maximize the business and consumer impact • Be responsible for briefing market content needs to hub (talking partner) • Actively cooperate with all key stakeholders within commercial and beyond to secure integration, common focus and maximize impact • Contribute to the integrated multichannel executions/output of the function in order to contribute to the business goals • Be an active player in driving an open and sharing climate, be a role model of the IKEA values, and contribute to the transformation of IKEA • Support all initiatives within and outside commercial included in the agreed communication plan (e.g. promote home solar)
