Country Core Area Specialist (Selling)

Job description

Your knowledge of sales mechanisms and the pulse of the market as well as how to optimize the customer experience across physical and digital touchpoints and content to increase the likelihood that customer visits convert to sales is undisputed. When it comes to the local market you have broad knowledge about the local market environment, expectations from customers today and tomorrow to secure that commercial and service offers to meet customer demands and needs. You possess a broad knowledge of data analytics and the performance metrics for sales. In addition, you have good knowledge of IKEA multichannel reality and online customer behaviors as well as operational plans and goals including follow up on KPIs. You have the ability to coach and influence a team of co-workers and colleagues while communicating in an inspirational way with the IKEA tone of voice as well as the ability to follow up on work is done and capture learnings to improve. You possess strong analytical skills and ability to prioritize and make decisions with speed and simplicity. Essential Requirements: • Minimum 5 years’ experience of working within sales and delivering results • Experience in sales coaching specifically within the retail sector • Experience of data analytics and performance metric for sales


In the role of Country Core Area Specialist, you are responsible for providing coaching and support for the Core Area Leaders, HFB Business Leaders and store co-workers in salesmanship, customer interactions, and Retail Foundation to ensure best practice and an excellent customer sales experience. You will: • Act as a member of the Selling team and proactively contribute to Selling plan/output in order to deliver to the common objectives and goals • Actively cooperate with all key stakeholders within commercial and beyond to secure integration, common focus and to maximize impact (for example Digital, CFF (Customer Fulfilment), Communications, Sustainability, BNOF (Business Navigation Operations & Finance), People & Culture) • Support Core Area Leaders and Business Leaders in coaching store co-workers on how to provide an excellent sales interaction and experience • Implement global IKEA sales tactics in the stores, as well as contribute to developing new local sales approaches and tactics • Document local best practices to share knowledge, competence, and information with other stores and INGKA markets • Collect feedback on the effectiveness of sales approaches and improvement ideas in order to develop new sales approaches and tactics • Coach on retail Foundation improvement based on the outcome of functional review • Contribute to the integrated multichannel executions/output of the selling function in order to contribute to the business goals • Measure the performance of output in sales activities to maximize efficiency and effectiveness, and to ensure performance excellence throughout the year • Be an active player in driving an open and sharing climate, being a role model of the IKEA values and contribute to the transformation of IKEA
