Country Commercial Activity Specialist (Selling)

When it comes to the local market you have broad knowledge about the local market environment, expectations from customers today and tomorrow to secure that commercial and service offers to meet customer demands and needs in all touchpoints. You possess good change management skills and know-how to apply these in an extremely ambiguous environment requiring cross-functional collaboration. You have the ability to understand the complexity of the IKEA business and the role of Commercial as an integrated part of the business. Furthermore, you have strong interpersonal skills. You also have the ability to prioritize and make decisions with speed and simplicity as well as the ability to follow up and measure the performance of output and capture learnings. Essential Requirements: • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales operations, driving and delivering results • Strong experience within the retail sector specifically the home furnishings sector • Formal qualification in marketing, sales, business management or the equivalent • Experience in planning, driving output and measuring performance (business)

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

In the role of Country Commercial Activity Specialist Cluster, you are responsible for contributing to the development of efficient and effective multichannel commercial activities in the marketing hub throughout the year, to drive traffic, maximize sales, profit and ensure vitality in the stores. You will: • Act as a member of the Marketing Hub, building ‘attract’ content to attract new consumers to the IKEA brand and growing IKEA’s penetration in all markets the Hub supports • Ensure ‘Attract’ communication syncs with commercial steering and calendar for all markets the Hub supports • Work closely with key stakeholders in- and outside Commercial (e.g., to secure supply of featured products) for all markets the Hub supports • Contribute to the development of commercial activity, specifically to optimize the commercial calendar development process • Act as a member of the Selling team and proactively contribute to the Selling agenda in order to deliver to the common objectives and goals • Actively cooperate with all key stakeholders within commercial and beyond to secure integration, common focus and to maximize impact (for example Digital, CFF (Customer Fulfilment), Communications, Sustainability, BNOF (Business Navigation Operations & Finance), People & Culture) • Continuously assist the Commercial Activity Leader in operating tasks such as measure performance through on time and complete process management of the commercial calendar, including alignment with messaging calendar and supply, and contribution of promotional events to overall growth goals • Be an active player in driving an open and sharing climate, be a role model of the IKEA values and contribute to the transformation of IKEA
