WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE

AQualification requirements:
•5 -10 years of accounting and/or tax experience
•Knowledge of IFRS, JGAAP, Japanese tax law, and financial reporting
•Fluent in English and Japanese (Business level of speaking, reading, and writing)
•Proficient in MS Office

Employment status & Working environment:
•Full time employment: 40 hours per week
•Flexible working hours with teleworking (working in an office located in Tokyo Bay store, 4-8 days per month)

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities:
Your role as Accounting & Reporting Specialist is to support the development of accounting & reporting team to maintain the right level of quality of accounting, reporting, and tax at our Service Office where multinational/multicultural people working together.
You provide not only accounting/tax expertise but also strong leadership to improve operation with digital transformation (DX) mind.

You will also be

•Responsible for leading small team to develop effective/efficient way of working with DX implementation
•Responsible for various types of reconciliation, analytical review, and analysis to minimize deviations from accounting standards and tax requirements for business needs and compliance reasons
•Contributing to the accurate and timely execution, preparation, and submission of all financial reporting in compliance with IFRS, JGAAP, and tax requirements
•Reviewing, preparing, and posing journal entries on daily and monthly basis
•Participating in global/local projects and support execution to simplify, harmonies, and automate financial operations and reporting
•Carrying out audit related work, yearly filings, and other compliance activities
•Supporting and maintaining a connection with local functions and IKEA global functions.

ABOUT THIS WORK AREA

The Group Financial Controlling team leads the Financial Controlling Function providing support to the three core-businesses IKEA Retail, Ingka Centres and Ingka Investments.

To lead, steer and support overall Ingka financial reporting that is beneficial to people & planet and protects and adds value to our assets, securing profitable growth andfinancial independence. By providing Accounting & Reporting services, supporting a strong compliance framework, and effective governance to enable
entrepreneurship and safeguard our people, customers and businesses.
