In this role you will report to the IKEA Food Manager - City Shop.

• You lead the shop Business Plan process together with the store manager and management team and proactively working with local market data to understand people’s life at home and our customer experience in our different customer meeting points to provide relevant insight. • You deliver and lead IKEA Food action plan by taking input from the team and the matrix manager to ensure the department supports the achievement of the agreed goals for the country, maximizes sales and generates sustained long-term profitability. • You ensure our customers are always in focus and strive to make them smile. You meet and serve our customers showing empathy and care. I am willing to listen and support them with an attitude based on the IKEA values. • You are responsible for implementing the food range matrix (global and national) to secure a strong IKEA Food range identity that distinguishes the IKEA store from our competitors on the market. • You make the IKEA food range available at the lowest total cost by, for example, driving volume according to commercial priorities. • You ensure proper planning and implementation of range changes in a simple and cost-conscious way. • You work to maximise commerciality in order to grow sales as well as the conversion rate and average cheque. By doing this increase profitability according to the goals. • You actively contribute marketing activity to maximize commercial calendar with Swedish celebrations and seasonality/vitality by co-operate with commercial team. • I challenge costs by working in a lean, simple and cost-conscious way using and sharing good examples and encouraging my team and colleagues to discover smarter ways of working. • You ensure a safe and healthy working environment for co-workers in accordance with local legal requirements and established IKEA standards. • You ensure to operate IKEA Food in accordance with legislation. You are responsible for operating the IKEA Food areas within the shop in accordance with IKEA Quality and Food Safety requirements. You also operate with external service providers and authorities when needed. • You ensure that all food incidents, or potential incidents, are reported through CASY. • You know your local market potential and work with your team and other functions to ensure your store is locally relevant throughout the different sales channels. • Follow up your financial goals, KPIs and costs, and take action on deviations. Motivate and develop team members by agreeing clear goals, expectations and conducting follow-ups. • Secure competent and high-performing teams and leaders who inspire and empower every co-worker to recognise and understand their contribution. Identify and develop the many talents within the department to secure succession planning. • Understand the IKEA social and environmental commitments and know how you can contribute to sustainability.

As Food manager in city shop, you lead and manage IKEA Food by building business and people together to fulfil the purpose of our function – to supports the IKEA store in selling more IKEA home furnishing products by attracting visitors to the stores, encouraging IKEA store visitors to stay longer and enjoy more, making it fun for everyone, offering great food with quality at the lowest prices, giving visitors a tasty reason to return again and again.
