PURPOSE OF FUNCTION :
To contribute to the growth and long-term profitability of the IKEA store through systems and methods for lowering costs, increasing quality perception, handling quality matters and maximizing profit.
This is done by:
- driving co-operation across functions and focusing on damages, sales errors and quality problems, thereby preventing costs to occur in the first place.
- utilizing the right methods for optimizing the revenue from IKEA products that would otherwise not be possible to sell.
- contribute to the IKEA sustainability goals by giving products a second chance, or through sustainable divestment of products where this is not possible.
PURPOSE OF JOB :
To lead, develop and manage the recovery and quality work in her or his store.
To prevent unnecessary costs to assets and give products a second chance while keeping the bottom line profit and sustainability in mind.
To work proactively across functions and together with the relevant quality matrix identify, investigate, report and follow up potential improvements regarding the quality associated with IKEA products.
Co-operate across functions to ensure everyone understands and contributes to the recovery process by focusing on prevention, revenue, sustainability and quality.
Take a lead in ensuring that prevention is one of the key focus points in the IKEA store.
Identify and develop needs, potential growth and improvements for efficient ways of working through cooperation within the store and the quality matrix.
Contribute to the business plan and budget processes within the store.
Set goals, measurements and constantly strive for improving the ability of the store to perform daily tasks in accordance with set rules and guidelines, and find the best working methods for preventing costs and optimizing revenue while keeping the bottom-line profit in mind.
Implement and continuously ensure optimal usage of common working methods, processes and tools related to the Recovery process.
Stay aware of daily needs and challenges through interactions with dependent functions, the Business Navigation & Operations Manager and the national quality matrix.
Secure sustainable ways of working throughout the whole recovery process
Identify and develop the many talents within the Recovery department to secure succession planning.
ESSENTIAL FOR PARTICULAR JOB :
Solid experience of business processes and working methods withing global companies.
Experience of leading and developing people.
Self-reliant with a proven ability to work as part of a team as well as independently.
Ability to understand and communicate in English and French.
Experience of creating and implementing action plans, setting budgets and following up goals.
Ability to solve problems or find new ways of working by identifying solution sources and/or ideas.
