Capital Region Logistics & Supply Chain Part Time

Job description

When IKEA opens at 10 AM, the shelves must be well stocked and ready for our customers. Consequently, logistics is just as much customer service and sales, as it is replenishment of goods. To be successful in this job, it is important that you are an early riser and can work during the early hours of the day. In addition, you: • Probably have experience as a warehouse co-worker and hard manual labor • Are flexible and comfortable working in a fast driving environment where things often change • Can prioritize and organize your own work to make efficient use of time • Have attention to detail and structure • Have a license for operating forklift trucks – or are willing to acquire one • Are good at communicating and enthusiastic about working in a team

Your main task is to replenish and shelve goods coming in by truck every day. Furthermore, your tasks will be: • Replenishment of goods on the sales floor using forklift, pallet lifter and manual work • Working together with your colleagues to keep the store fully stocked with the right goods for the store opening at 10:00 • Implementing agreed processes, working methods and procedures, including IT systems and techniques • Maintenance and cleaning up the department and machinery

As an employee at IKEA you will be in contact with many different departments every day. You will get to know your colleagues in your own department and across departments. We will ensure the correct training, so you will know your workplace and the IKEA culture.

If you have any questions please contact our Logistics Team Leader, Josephine Wolagbe, Please notice that we do not receive application via e-mail but only through our recruitment portal.

• The position is on average 12 hours per week and working hours will be from 04:00 AM to 10:00 AM • Between 1-3 shifts per week including every second weekend both Saturday and Sunday • Start date: 1st August 2019
