About You

You have the ability to priorities and organize own work in order to make the most efficient use of time available. You have the ability to work in a fast retail environment. You are enthusiastic about assignments and working with others in a team.

What’s more, we believe that you have the following knowledge, capabilities and motivation:

  • Live and share the IKEA values every day.
  • High School/Trade School Graduate.
  • Minimum 3 years proven experience in in cleaning and supervision of cleaning procedures.
  • Clear understanding of customer service guidelines/principles.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Knowledge of pest control & waste management is an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of housekeeping inventory management.
  • Strong team player and good English communication. 
  • Proven commitment to high quality execution within limited time frames and safety is upheld to the highest standards and the store standard operating procedures are adhered to at all times.
  • Confident in approaching and communicating clearly with different people in various situations.

About the Role

Key Specific Accountabilities

  • Check cleaning status in the whole store.
  • Check the no. of cleaners & distribution.
  • Check for availability of cleaning tools.
  • Do daily inspection on the building.
  • Check for cleaning services everywhere.
  • Secure required cleaning materials every time.
  • Submit inductions for cleaning team and make sure the team has assumed their place according to the distribution plan.
  • Make sure that all cleaners comply to store safety instructions.
  • Review cleaning KPIs day by day to confirm service quality.
  • Provide any form of required assistance to cleaners while they carry out their duties.
  • Control and monitor the usage of cleaning materials so as to avoid or minimize waste and/or misuse.
  • Review the pest control activities daily.
  • Review the waste management activities daily.
  • Coach the service providers for day duties.
  • Work with all departments to ensure that the store is clean and cleaning level is at a satisfactory level.
  • Make sure cleaning plans are effective.
  • Housekeeping inventory management.
  • Motivate and development the team.
