Sales & Supply Support Specialist IKEA KOREA, DongBusan Store
Our first IKEA store in Korea opened in December 2014 successfully and our second store in October 2017. We strongly believe that a happier life starts at home and we have an exciting expansion plan in front of us. We are still in the beginning of establishing IKEA in Korea, developing the brand and building a strong long term positioning. Our plan is to open our forth store in Korea2020 and we are very much looking forward to establish a multichannel business for the many people! Store #4 will be located in Busan city, the second largest port city in Korea. About the job You do this by working closely together with colleagues in the commercial team to make sure everyone focuses on the same commercial priorities. You also use your supply process expertise to secure that your team creates excellence in the area of availability by balancing range and space, and forecasting and ordering to achieve agreed service levels at the lowest possible cost. By doing this, you will strengthen the main objectives of IKEA to be leader in life at home in our local market and achieve growth and sustained long term profitability.
More information about your tasks:
Ensuring the continued availability of goods and taking actions together with your commercial team colleagues to minimize the impact of availability issues on our customers.
Securing a smooth selling-off of products, a timely start to the sales of new products and the implementation of sales plans, such as promotions, to increase turnover, by initiating actions with your commercial team partners.
Working together with your commercial team partners to secure the correct use of ordering procedures and focusing on order parameters, product ordering and availability checks so that sufficient stock is available to meet customer needs.
Identifying potential savings and initiating actions to improve stock and product structure to minimize the logistics costs of the store
Main point of contact in store for all range administration and operational supply related question
Maximizing goods flow efficiency by monitoring that the operational forecasting in the store is in line with the order parameters and available sales space capacities/parameters.
It is essential that you have:
Self-reliant and motivated with a proven ability to work as part of a larger team
Strong analytical skills and high attention to details
Demonstrated influencing and communication skills – English and Korean
Developed social skills including a strong interest in people and the ability to show empathy in relationships with others
Enjoy working in a fast paced demanding team environment with tight deadlines
Ability to work both on tactical and operational level with a track record of getting things done
Proactively using all the information and tools available and proficient in MS Excel, Word
Experience within Retail (Sales or Logistics) and/or supply chain preferred
