Our first IKEA store in Korea opened in December 2014 successfully and our second store in October 2017. We strongly believe that a happier life starts at home and we have an exciting expansion plan in front of us. We are still in the beginning of establishing IKEA in Korea, developing the brand and building a strong long term positioning.
Our plan is to open our forth store in Korea2020 and we are very much looking forward to establish a multichannel business for the many people!
Store #4 will be located in Busan city, the second largest port city in Korea.

About the job (your work & tasks): In your role as IKEA Food Team Leader you will responsible for consistent excellent shopping experience, act upon customer feedback, implementation the global and national compliance standards and contributing to the overall food competence in the store. You will act as a commercial business partner within the IKEA business in the store. You will lead and coach the department team in optimising and develop the IKEA Retail Food business, considering the IKEA brand position, strategies, legal compliance and people and planet positive in all IKEA touchpoints as well as promoting IKEA as a great place to work.
More information about your tasks:
Ensure the appropriate processes followed and actions are taken on a daily basis to secure food safety, IKEA quality, standards for operation routines and reduce waste
Ensure that every customer has a consistently excellent shopping experience by supporting, challenging and coaching co-workers to see through a customer’s eyes
Act upon customer feedback, recognising good customer service and taking appropriate action to avoid repeated problems (fine better ways)
Build the competence of the team through regular coaching, support and encouragement
(Lead and develop people)
Contribute to identifying, recruiting, introduce and developing the many talents in the department
Contributes to the implementation the global and national compliance standards in the area of responsibility to secure a safe environment for customers and co-workers
