Contribute to the store’s bottom line by providing an outlet for returned, damaged, displayed, and discontinued merchandise to strengthen IKEA’s position as the best home furnishing store.
Build IKEA furniture in Recovery room.
Responsible for parting pieces for parts library.
Responsible for recycling product.
Ensure accurate inspection and confirmation of all returned products, sending them to the appropriate departments.
Your goal is to repackage as much product to return to store inventory/sales floor as possible.
Ensure a positive shopping experience by greeting customers, being visible and available at all times and managing first contact resolution.
Inspect, build and price merchandise for sale in AS-IS following the Recovery guidelines and clearly marking all products as AS-IS.
Performing department specific duties (Basic Actions) in the Recovery areas ensuring we are always operating at IKEA Commercial Review standards.
Ensure an organized, safe environment in the recovery area, AS-IS room and builder’s room.
Work with other departments to increase overall store productivity.
Contribute to an environment where the IKEA Culture is a strong and living reality that embraces the diversity of coworkers and customers.
Assume responsibility for other tasks and projects as they occur.
Customer service skills.
Detail oriented and good organizational skills.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Ability to troubleshoot and repair minor damages.
Basic computer knowledge.
Good communication and problem solving skills.
Interest in home furnishings and furniture building skills.
Ability to lift 50 lbs. (22.7kg)/physically fit.
High volume, fast-paced retail environment.
Hours of work include Weekdays, Evenings, Saturday, Sunday, and Statutory holidays; must have full evening and weekend availability.
