You have detailed knowledge of a broad set of HR practices, polices, processes, regulations and legislations. You know how to have project integrity, honesty and reliability in all interpersonal relations. You drive, implement and monitor the outcome of regular HR activities and other HR related task and projects. You Influence and communicate in a clear way, and can confidently navigate in a complex interdependent environment. You empower and coach co-workers and managers and have a good commercial understanding.

For this role, we believe you need to have proven training in HR Management or equivalent, minimum of 3 years of Human Resources experience, and a proven record of successful implementations of HR practices, policies, processes and guidelines throughout the year cycle. It is preferred that you have an understanding of INGKA/IKEA Matrix and operations.

In the role of Human Resource Generalist, you are alligned with the People Strategy plan and deliver daily unit HR support in line with the INGKA Human Resources practices, policies, processes, regulations and legislations in the unit.

You will:
  • Support unit HR Business Partner with efficient implementation of overall HR processes, policies and yearly activities in the specific unit.
  • Support to the creation and implementation of the operational HR action plan for the unit
  • Deliver daily HR activities, guidance and support in the unit
  • Support preparation presentations for committees, board meetings, worker councils, etc.
  • Delegated first point of contact for co-workers regarding certain day-to-day matters
  • Support the unit to ensure it is working in line with the mandatory elements of People & Culture strategy to secure compliance and a consistent execution of the framework and policies.
  • Collaborate within business unit to align common ways of working and share best practices.

In this role, you will report to the Service Office People & Culture Manager.

This role is located in the IKEA Canada Service Office in Burlington, Ontario.
