<> The quote from “The Testament of a Furniture Dealer” has been with IKEA for a long time, but it continues to be more real than ever. We do not want to waste resources at IKEA. Instead, we want to explore what new ideas, technologies and processes can offer in terms of new solutions to old waste challenges.
In the IKEA Store landscape, the Recovery department is a vital stakeholder in securing that waste is minimized.

The recovery and quality process supports the key activities of the IKEA store. The process covers the systems and methods for preventing damage to goods, acting on bad product quality, and the techniques for generating revenue from damaged goods that would otherwise be recycled.
