TEAM MANAGER SALES IKEA BARENDRECHT (FULLTIME)

YOUR ASSIGNMENT
• Optimize sales and profitability by encouraging your team to take fast action on commercial opportunities and act on customer feedback, competition, supply and performance analyses;
• Coach, inspire and motivate your 10-15 co-workers. This in order for them to manage their teams in line with the HR concept. Provide strong leadership to your team by your own example;
• Provide a consistent, seamless and positive customer experience through all channels by ensuring that your department is always striving to fulfil the three IKEA customer motivators: "Is it worth it?", "Can I trust IKEA", "Is there something for me?";
• Ensure you have the right co-workers in the right place at the right time and securing that they are fully able and available to serve customers and actively help them to buy;
• Create an environment of trust by encouraging open, constructive, honest, two-way feedback with your team and other colleagues and develop co-workers by agreeing clear goals and expectations, and conducting follow-ups;
• Actively promote and use the IKEA sales and communication channels with your team and secure these are used in the best and most commercial way for the different customers in order that they feel inspired to visit the store more often and buy more;
• Monitor local market and competition to ensure local relevance throughout all sales channels and thereby maximizing the department's sales potential;
• Optimize sales steering for your commercial area and thereby maximizing sales and gross margin;
• Collaborate within the commercial team (Sales/Logistics/Communication & Interior Design) to implement the commercial calendar activities to support commerciality and vitality in the store;
• Develop and take ownership for the implementation of the Sales actions of the annual store action plan;
• Steer your commercial area within the agreed budget and encourage the team to work in a lean, simple and cost-conscious way, using and sharing good examples;
• Inspire and enable customers to live a more sustainable life at home by promoting sustainable home furnishing solutions;
• Ensure that all co-workers in the Sales team understand the IKEA concept and guidelines and how this impacts on their specific roles.

YOUR PROFILE
• You are passionate about home furnishing and you know how to optimize the IKEA shopping experience, to secure customer experience and increase sales;
• You have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent;
• You have at least 2 years of experience of working in a commercial environment, with previous managerial experience of leading others;
• You have a dynamic and entrepreneurial leadership profile with a “hands-on” approach;
• You have experience of setting and implementing action plans and budgets, and following up goals;
• You are a quick learner who is easily able to adapt to changing demands and have experience of actively selling by means of understanding customers and their needs;
• You have strong leadership and communication skills and can lead and inspire a big team;
• You have the motivation and drive to make people perform, deliver, learn and develop through a strong sense of togetherness;
• In a constantly changing environment you continually seek new opportunities to improve the way we work and you are eager to develop further with us;
•You are fluent in both written and spoken English;
•You are flexible in terms of location and mobility;
•You are very flexible and willing to work weekends, public holidays and during school holidays.

SALARY
You will receive a competitive salary and benefits, dependent on education and experience. IKEA also offers good secondary benefits, such as a personal pension fund.
