ABOUT THE JOB The challenging position of store sales manager calls for a person who can lead and inspire a team to optimize store sales and profitability through your knowledge of the IKEA product range, local market conditions and the needs of customers. Together with the expertise of your team and colleagues, you will help to secure the continued global success of the IKEA Concept – a concept that serves millions of satisfied customers each day.
As a sales manager, you make sure that our culture and IKEA values are a part of everything we do. You lead through others and have a great responsibility in attracting, developing and inspiring our employees. You will work closely together with the store's management team and your department. Together with your management team and the store manager you are responsible for steering the store towards growth, optimal performance and sustained long term profitability. You always have a multi-dimensional view, considering a positive shopping experience for our customers, a commercial focus and optimizing sales and developing people. You use daily operation as a possibility to grow both individual and professional.
You are committed to the development of your team and colleagues. You coach, lead and inspire employees and managers in collaboration with the People & Culture department. You drive the follow-up process to ensure we are focusing on delivering the business plan. You provide and communicate relevant business information in a way which engages and inspires us to take meaningful actions to achieve our goals (follow up of the KPI’s)
Is this a challenge for you?
We think you have several years’ experience from management within large organizations from the retail sector.
You are a person with strong commercial focus and ability to create structure.
You contribute as a dynamic, action-oriented leader that is self-motivated and confident in making decisions utilizing independent judgment. You are a good communicator and have the ability to transform strategies and visions into challenging goals and business plans.
You have ability to quickly gain and apply knowledge of the local markets and to align customer needs and expectations with business needs. Furthermore, you have the ability to create trust and build long term relationships through constructive and honest dialogue. You are motivated by seeing other people grow.
