Group Treasury Middle Office specialist

To be successful in this role you should have 2+ years working within a middle office or equivalent organisation responsible for the production and analysis of treasury financial result in a blue chip multi-national environment. You are professionally qualified, or working towards qualification, with a recognised corporate treasury and/or accountancy awarding body such as the Association of Corporate Treasurers, or Institute of Chartered Accountants or related experience. You have 2+ years’ experience in taxation and regulatory matters related to liquidity management; as well as experience in statistical predictive analytics or econometrics applied in a liquidity forecasting environment. Further, you need 2+ years’ experience in report writing on leading treasury management systems and related analytical suites (preferably on the FIS Treasury Suite). You have knowledge in the following areas: • extensive knowledge of financial instruments, and related financial reporting standards • extensive knowledge of internal control frameworks relating to treasury • extensive knowledge of Irish direct & Indirect taxation • general knowledge of cash pool structures, capital & FX control restrictions, regulations impacting financial instruments used for cash management purposes and withholding tax • good knowledge of external financial markets You have the capability to drive strategy by directing effort to achieve long-term business objectives. You are skilled in managing resources by coordinating people and financial capital, material and (digital) information to maximise efficiency and performance. In dealing with ambiguity you comfortably handle unclear or unpredictable situations. Negotiating & representing interests with external counterparts holding divergent interest comes easy to you. You are able to lead large scale transformational projects and managing the related change.


In this role you are expected to perform monitoring activities to ensure the integrity of treasury results & positions as well as to forecast, analyse, explain & validate IKEA Treasury results. It is your responsibility to monitor Group Treasury’s functional adherence to the relevant IKEA Group Policies, key controls as well as the adherence of the statutory obligations of the Irish Treasury legal entities. You will: • create an environment where the IKEA culture is a strong and living reality that embraces the diversity of co-workers • produce Treasury net financial result and related positions in line with frameworks prescribed by Group BN&F. Analyse & draft commentary on treasury result, performance & positions as well as forecast result & positions towards senior IKEA Finance management • review relevant treasury transactions to ensure integrity. Perform daily, weekly & monthly control and activities & related reporting • track progress of FX orders placed for execution by the Treasury Transaction Services team to ensure timely and completeness of the execution against orders • collect, monitor, validate & transmit all market data used in Treasury and its onward publication to the relevant data platforms • update & maintain treasury regulatory reports with in accordance with the regulatory requirements. Perform regulatory reporting, either directly or via the Global Business Operations (GBO) unit; performing review activities where these are performed by the GBO • support financial and internal audit related queries relating to treasury transactions, for any Ingka group entity, and resolve these in a professional, timely and efficient manner • prepare annual financial statements notes, tax returns, commercial register fillings & other statutory fillings for the INGKA Group Financial Statements & Irish legal entities • provide Market BNOF & Finance Managers with expert advice relevant treasury internal control best practices & validate the valuation of financial instruments • monitor levels of debt in IKEA markets to ensure adherence to thin capitalisation requirements. Monitor pricing of intra-group financial instruments to ensure compliance with transfer pricing requirements • monitor logging in patterns of users into the treasury management & payment factory systems to identify abnormal logging in patterns
