IKEA Food develops and provides the food sold and served in all IKEA Restaurants, Bistro´s, Swedish Food Markets and the IKEA co-worker restaurants. IKEA Food has 389 restaurants in 49 markets and every year 650 million guests are enjoying the IKEA Food.

Purchasing Development is a business unit within IKEA Supply, with a global organisation consisting of 9 Category Areas (for Home Furnishing, Food and Indirect Materials & Services), Wood Supply & Forestry, Business Development Project Office and a number of Business Partners.

We are now looking for a Process Developer to join our exciting journey in Category Area Food!

Category Area Food is one of the most recently established category areas in Purchasing Development, being in a build-up journey to take over purchasing of Food from the retail organisation. The objective is to optimise the business model for best quality, low price and availability. The build-up entail a combination of establishing new capabilities along with driving efficiency for a strong business performance with fact based analysis and planning as a foundation.

Category Area Food consists of two Categories; Animal and Plant Based. We are 110 co-workers sitting in 5 main locations which is continuously growing due to expansions and increased scope of our assignment. With more locations, complexity increases and we need to secure process development and way of working both for short term efficiency and for the long term IT-implementations. 


Job description

As Process Developer you will be responsible for developing a process portfolio with Category Area Food together with the Business Navigation Manager and other stakeholders close to decision making of the overall direction of the Food build-up. You are, based on the portfolio, to work in projects to secure better ways of working, improved process output and readiness for digitalization. Further, the assignment hold the following elements:
•    Identify and propose process/sub process design and/or improvement initiatives and prepare basis for decisions
•    Gather, understand and analyse business benefit of identified process improvement potentials
•    Support implementation and establishment of the process including identifying competence development needs
•    Facilitate and push the implementation of way of working with process oriented business development in IKEA
•    Lead, manage and/or support process improvement projects (incl IT tools). Interact with related functions and matrixes in the development of the solution
•    Secure consistency and interdependencies in the process development towards other connected processes
•    Improve, develop & keep process documentation up to date according to defined framework (process maps, working methods, task descriptions, measurement specifications, learning material, …)
•    Secure follow up of process performance according to set KPI's
•    Participate in external networks for benchmarking and to enhance knowledge in relevant processes


Qualification

We believe that you are a person with lots of energy, drive and dynamics, you have enthusiasm for business and people and an entrepreneurship thinking while being strong in the fact based analysis. You want to drive the business further and have an end to end ownership for the purchasing part as you need to understand the business well to be able to support and navigate in the right direction. 

To be a successful process developer you need to have strong ability to enable change, motivate and inspire people. You are able to handle complexity and solve problems with several dimensions. You have high integrity and the ability to establish relationships at all levels of the organizations, based on trust. You are able to work with both operational and tactical issues and you possess facilitation and trainer skills. 

You have a passion and drive to develop the business and yourself to deliver results. At IKEA it is further important to have a strong desire to collaborate and to be “better together”. You have energy both for the big picture and the details with a strong desire to transform the wished position into structural competence and learning and reach out to communicate the results.

Your knowledge and competence
We believe that our best candidate has a University degree within engineering and/or at least 2 years of experience and understanding of the IKEA value chain, the process landscape and the IKEA organisation. Experience in IKEA Food is an advantage if that entails experience in supporting process development projects, analysing business needs and translating them to process requirements. 


More Information

The position is in Älmhult, Sweden, but you will be expected to meet up also in the Malmö office at regular basis (2-3 days per week). Travelling outside Sweden is limited as most business support is done remotely.

You will report to the Business Navigation Manager in Category Area Food where we are currently targeting a team of four colleagues.
