IKEA Range & Supply has the responsibility to develop, design, produce and supply IKEA retail channels with home furnishing solutions available to the many people. Each year IKEA Range & Supply introduces 2,000 new products in the 436 IKEA stores and other multichannel touchpoints in 52 markets around the world with the turnover of approximately 40 BEUR. The total range is almost 10,000 products. So what happens in Älmhult definitely doesn't stay in Älmhult. It reaches practically every corner of the globe.

Job description

You are joining Business Area (BA) Bedroom in an exciting time! As People & Culture Leader you will be responsible for bringing people and business together to create that extra magic. You are a member of the Management team of the Business area. You will actively contribute to the growth by working in various constellations together with all businesses, matrices and support functions. We believe that you will: 

  • Develop and take the lead in the people journey that IKEA is on to, together with leaders and co-workers. The base of this journey are IKEA culture and values strengthened by that special can-do spirit!
  • Lead the People agenda and ensure that the People plan is ingrained as the everyday business
  • Member of the management team, contributing to all strategic decisions for the BA from a People perspective
  • Work with leaders to contribute to performance, with focus on leadership in a new era and by securing the HR processes
  • Influence and motivate leaders to continuously develop leadership capabilities in a new era
  • Focus on creating an environment and a spirit where we empower people, nourish creative and curious minds, learn from our mistakes and always strive to find the best solutions with cost consciousness in focus
  • Ensure that IKEA Business Area Kitchen, Bathroom and Home Appliances is known as a fantastic community to work within

  • Extensive experience of management and leadership experience as well as working with complex problem analysis and solutions in large organisations
  • Documented experience to work on a strategic business agenda: adding value to business strategies and having experience from leading global People & Culture assignments
  • Ability to translate business needs in HR solutions
  • Ability to be a natural leader and skilled in change management
  • Experience in creating and implementing strategic plans and following up goals
  • Business understanding and proven ability to have made a difference by positively influencing the business directly
  • Ability to identify need for and drive change within the organisation
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build trustful relations
  • Energetic,  driven and committed to deliver result in a high paced environment
  • Solution oriented team player
  • Experienced and motivated in working in a rapidly changing environment
  • High entrepreneurial drive: Stretching boundaries, challenging what already exists, always striving to develop better products and solutions
