Job description


• Fluent in English and confident to communicate in Japanese language (Japanese language proficiency is a MUST)
• Analytical and understanding of using business metrics for steering and decision making.
• Ability to lead and influence multi-level teams in 24/7 work environment.
• Ability to develop action plans and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Strong ability to delegate with follow up and follow-through.
• Proven successful leadership in a big organization, delivering both business result and people development.
• Proven knowledge and working experience in managerial function (preferably in warehouse operations and logistics)
• Proven knowledge of health and safety laws, standards and regulations related to warehousing activities


• Responsible for daily operation to strive for excellence
• Resposible for overall warehouse goals setting, initate local business plans/projects implementation and commitment to achieve excellent in running operation.
• Responsible for staff, shift and equipment planning based on volmue forecast (MTP and STP) to secure operational business and activities to meet goods availablity.
• Responsible to increase efficiency of C/DC operations to reduce cost, improve productivity and work spirit with total supply chain
• Focus to Everyday Product Quality (EPQ) standards, Create coworkers quality awareness & behaviors to reduce damage and make “ Neat & Clean” reality in operation
• Secure that working processes are in compliance with IKEA rules and guidelines as well as laws and regulations are followed and maintained (e.g. Warehouse Concept, Proven Solutions, Legal Demands, ISS)•Provide information about plans and results to co-workers and explain their overall importance
• Responsible to maintain a clean, organized and safe environment throughout the C/DC.
• Ensures adherence of all safety requirements and proper training across their function.
• Ensure adherence according to IWAY Standards on the daily operations.
• Support and execute the ideals of "The Human Resource Idea" with regard to recruitment, training, development and leadership.


To reach excellence in daily running C/DC operations. Lead, coach and develop teams responsible for delivering goods within the agreed time and in the agreed quality to the lowest possible C/DC operational costs with the customer in focus and the total supply chain in mind.
